Cells and Vitamin D

Cellular health is the basis for overall health and if you're cells aren't functioning well, neither can you. Whether it's physical, emotional or mental health that's being affected, cells are involved!

There are many aspects to cellular health and I get into all of them with my work, but one of the most important components is Vitamin D.

With inadequate Vitamin D people lack energy, they get sick often, they're often grumpy and irritable, they may have anxiety and/or depression, bones won't be as strong, and kids' growth may be negatively affected.

Normal Vitamin D levels in blood work are usually stated as 30-100 ng/mL. Most people don't feel good until their level is at least 80, so relying on "normal" is not the greatest.

The best way to get Vitamin D is by exposing your skin to sunlight. Without sunblock. Sunblock is usually full of toxins anyway, but that's a whole other discussion. Skin exposure to sunlight gives your body what it needs to create its own Vitamin D. This is the best.

You can supplement with Vitamin D and if you live in a dark place in the winter this is helpful. Not all supplements are created equally, though. And when quality is not good, lots of money and effort is wasted.

If you have questions about Vitamin D or about cellular health, message me! I'm happy to help keep you healthy and happy this winter.
