Lavender—Communication and Calm

Lavender is well known as a calming scent that can help with sleep. It's one of the most common scents in personal care products! And I used to think it was disgusting. I still do if it's in an "off the shelf" product. What I found out is that almost all lavender scent on the market is at least partially synthetic. And I can't handle synthetic scents at all... They make me light headed and nauseous. I was very reluctant to try dōTERRA lavender, but have found I actually enjoy it and use it often!

Lavender is amazingly soothing for the skin. Do your kids get bugbites? A roller ball with lavender is an instant soother for the itch. What about sunburn? I've had product tester friends compare aloe vs dōTERRA lavender on sunburn. With the lavender oil (mixed with a carrier oil) on the sunburn, the pain goes away immediately with no blistering or peeling involved.

Lavender is the Oil of Communication and Calm. It calms insecurities and the fear of being seen and heard. It supports release of tension from withheld expression. It encourages emotional honesty and helps us feel free to share our true selves.

It can be diffused, used on the skin, and taken internally, and is a key ingredient in dōTERRA's Triease blend which is used to ease seasonal discomfort.
